I say a big YES to that! I think it’s a GREAT tool to discourage illegal immigrants from coming here! I’d like to see a campaign in Mexico, Central America and Southeast Asiia telling people how terrible things are here and how bad Americans treat illegals! Sounds like a winning thought, what do you think?

Its not ENVY. It has nothing to do with ENVY. I am NOT envious of the USA. In fact I think your country SUCKS.
We trash your country because of the way your country (military and president) throws its weight around, demanding privileges (sanctions and oil) to which it is not entitled and constantly telling other countries what to do and how to run their countries.
IF the USA would just BUTT OUT and STOP being the worlds police, then we will all get along.

  2. I would say yes. I don’t think it is working though……..

  3. sounds good.. but seriously I don’t care what others think about me.. or what other countries think about my country or fellow citizens

  4. yep, the opposite of love isnt’ hate its indifference. So as long as they “hate” us that just means they are one step closer to loving us, and it pisses them off! lol

  5. With more and more US citizens losing their jobs, filing for unemployment, etc. I wonder how the people who backed all the illegal immigration feel now. Illegal immigrants are still taking jobs away from legal citizens. Before it may not have been a huge deal because unemployment was low. But as it increases this issue will be brought up more and more.

We have much to fix at home. The biggest deterrent to illegal immigration will be a secure border, removal of the jobs magnet, stiff penalties for employers that hire illegals and deportation of any illegal that comes into contact with law enforcement or government offices.

  7. Probably. Personally, as a rule, I don’t give a fig about what other countries want to say about us. Envy is an ugly thing.
I’ve been around a bit more and a bit longer than most and I know how election years go. I hear how bad things are in the US, I just don’t see it. Unemployment has gone done from 6.7% last quarter to the current 4.9% (extremely low) and yet I hear about how people are losing jobs. It’s only those who were illegally employed or those who were employing illegals. Homes are being foreclosed on BUT it’s the homes of people who got subprime loans— those people who really shouldn’t have been given loans to begin with because their credit was so poor. Most of us are quite happy…the only real downside is that we are counting “paper losses” on our homes. I had to bring my husband down to earth on that one. We purchased our home 10 years ago for $400,000. It’s value is now double what it was then and he’s upset because it’s only a 100% gain rather than a 125% gain. LOL.
